Kenya fighting female genital mutilation

The government of Kenya is seriously fighting the long term traditional practice which involves the remover of eternal genital of female. This practice have been long time in Kenya.The government recently stop the practice have been trying to crack down the citizen of Kenya who are into this practice.

The government have been arresting defaulter of this new laws against this wicked act,about 50 cases hve been reportedly taken to court.The Director of the public prosecution has bring to the notification of the public, the 50 cases which have been reported and promise to track down more people who practice the wicked long term practice.

The Director of public prosecution tod news men that they have been able to discover  and record 21 female genital mutilation case in the north west town of Kapenguria, 10 in Migori and Kisil and 16 in Kajiado. Campaign against the act have been carry out,especially in the most effected area like Pokot,Maasai and kissi which is the places were it is more practice in Kenya.

There have been a lot of success stories in the fight against the act. there have  been about 37 percent reduction in the act.

The civil society are committed to fight this wicked outdated practice, they have pass some laws to reduce this practice, This law includes three year jail term for and one caught in the act.

The Director of public prosecution lamented on a case that happen recently in which a 12 year old girl bleed to death,tho a tough sentence was passed on the father of the victim . He was jail for 10 years for manslaughter.He further explain the rate of damage the act can cause which are shock,fistula,several pain during sexual intercourse and hemorrhage..
